Duke Human Vaccine Institute - EQAPOL

On behalf of the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases (NIH/NIAID), the Duke Human Vaccine Institute (DHVI), an Institute within the Duke University School of Medicine, administratively supports the External Quality Assurance Program Oversight Laboratory (EQAPOL) program. Through EQAPOL, the NIH/NIAID is advancing HIV research by helping research laboratories improve data quality, data integrity, and laboratory practices. In 2010, the EQAPOL PI engaged SciMed Solutions to develop a web-based software application for EQAPOL to coordinate quality assurance protocols at more than 50 leading research laboratories worldwide. read more

Duke Human Vaccine Institute - Antibodyome

The Duke Human Vaccine Institute (DHVI) is a global leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS.  At DHVI, researchers focus on the scientific “bottlenecks” in the development of vaccines for HIV and other viruses.  For DHVI’s Antibodyome project, SciMed developed the Laboratory Assay System (LAS) to manage millions of data records generated and used by HIV scientists around the world.  With the LAS, DHVI has significantly increased the speed and accuracy with which scientists can work toward HIV/AIDS prevention and cure while simultaneously reducing the cost of research. read more

The Robertson Scholars Program is a visionary, unequalled program in American higher education.
