Originally an arm of Durham, NC-based IT support company Net Friends, SciMed Solutions began providing custom application development in 2003 in response to requests from Net Friends clients. SciMed welcomed the opportunity to design solutions to our clients' problems, knowing that our expertise and experience would be valuable in creating high quality custom software. In our first year as SciMed, we launched Cardio Server, our first major product. Cardio Server began as a custom application on a single workstation at Duke University Hospital. It has now expanded to become a large-scale healthcare solution, being used by 150 hospitals nationwide. Cardio Server stands as an example of the excellent products that SciMed creates, interfacing with an array of equipment, and is adaptable and scalable to fit the unique needs of its users.

Our company incorporated as SciMed Solutions in January of 2008. We continue to grow, expanding from a sole focus on custom Web-based application development projects and Web site development to also include several commercial products. While we primarily cater to the clinical, educational and research communities, there is no limit to our custom Web application design capabilities. Our highly skilled and professional staff creates solutions that range from small-business Web sites to enterprise-sized Web applications.
